JENNIFER JOHNSON
Jennifer began writing songs back home in South Louisiana. When
someone described to her what a song-plugger does, she thought to
herself, "I can do that." So she planned a trip to
Nashville, called all the labels and talked her way into
appointments, and then called all her songwriters friends and said
"Get me some songs to pitch." She got songs placed on
hold that first trip and realized that she had found her true
calling.
After a year of plugging
independently for top songwriters she was offered the job of
Creative Director of the publishing division of the Midas Music
Group. The company is brand new but has already scored with the
single “A good man” by Emerson Drive and 2 chart topping
singles “Everyday” and “The Noise” by budding CCM artist
Jessie Daniels.
“We are so excited to have someone as passionate about songs as
Jennifer is,” says Keith Follese, one of the heads of the
company, himself a writer who has spent many weeks at the top of
the charts. “It is a rare quality. Some people just live for
music, and she is one of them.”
