I got in bout 2 AM last night....only 11.5 hours going back (driving down hill mostly :)). I cannot thank you enough for inviting me down to Nashville....I was simply overwhelmed with how helpful this trip was. I will be down again and I will be helping to spread the word about your future workshops (put me on email list and definitely create an email list if you don't have one already).

I've been very active (off and on) in the Philadelphia songwriting community for many years evening starting the Philadelphia Songwriters Association in 1997 which is still going today. I have given and attended many many seminars and you Barbara are the real deal!

Thanks again Barbara...I just joined SongJourney, I got a ton of songwriting ideas on my drive back and forth (and took'em down with my little recorder)...listened to a ton of country radio and its all pop songs really when you break them down...Nashville is where I definitely belong. I can't move there because of family but you will be seeing my face again by the fall. From

I want to thank you for opportunity to be part of the play for publishers workshop. It was great to be in same room as all those successful publishers, writers and pluggers not to mention having them critique my songs and the songs of the others in attendance. It was a real, honest look at what it takes to break through and what the big publishers are looking for. Invaluable! I learned a lot and I know my writing will improve because of it. Thank you once again.

Just wanted to write you a quick note to thank you again for inviting me to your workshop this past weekend. The networking aspect of the workshop was fantastic! But more importantly...I'm thoroughly convinced that six months to a year from now I'll have significantly raised the bar of my writing and it will be due in large part to your teaching. Going forward I'm going to take your advice and "dig deeper" into my own experiences (which by the way is what Tommy West has been encouraging me to do also).

My wife and I are contemplating a move to Nashville. But I think I'm about a year or two of hard work away from writing more consistently competitive material. In the meantime I'm trying to figure out how I can make as many trips to town as possible. To both learn and network.

Mostly, I want you to know that I really did hear everything you told me. Thank you for both your tough love and kind words. I hope to see you on my next trip to Nashville. If you ever make it up to NYC let me know. In the meantime, good luck and much success on all your endeavors!
