Hi Barbara!
I'm so tired right now, but at the same time so Thankful that you, Rusty & Scott came up to do "your thing" with all of us in the North East! I had three phone calls before 9 AM from some of the writer too excited to sleep and had to call me to let me know how much fun & learning they got out of this weekend!  Plus a bunch of emails!  The word most often used was "AWESOME!"  I have to agree!
Please thank Rusty & Scott and you are AWESOME!
Friend forever!

Barbara,
I want to thank you for this past weekend, it totally rocked! I learned so much from not only you, Scott & Rusty, but all the songwriters as well, and it helped to de-mystify the Nashville market for me quite a bit. What an invaluable experience. Plus, everybody was so cool that instead of walking out overwhelmed by what seems an impossible task, I find myself rooting for everyone who was there.
All the best,
Chris DeMaria

Dear Barbara,
I want to thank you for offering such a fabulous seminar up in my neck of the woods this weekend.  I feel like I have a much clearer visiuon of the
kind of work I have ahead of me and the different between a good and a great song.   I found all 3 of your insights to be extremely clear and logical and
I can't thank you enough for offering such an educational program! Let's hope I turn out to be one of the "teachable" - I am sure gonna try.
You will hear from me again and  in the mean time- be safe and well.
Thank again- Julianne Sutton Buccino

Barbara -
Wanted to say again that this weekend was fantastic!  I learned a lot, and have already found the following benefits:

- was contacted today by another person from the workshop to co-write something
- have a new network of 19 others to run ideas by
- have newfound inspiration and courage to open up my other completed songs and critique and re-write them where necessary
- started a new song on the plane
- Just got the new Tim McGraw CD in the mail today, I opened it and read every lyric - I now see why most of those songs were cut
- now know how much I can save on demos
- re-read your original feedback on Wildest Dreams and have ideas on how to incorporate

Was like cramming a semester of learning into one weekend!  What you, Rusty, and Scott did was truly amazing.  Gives me lots of inspiration to apply for the next one!
Let me know if there is anything I can ever do for you down here in Texas.

Hi Barbara…
Thank you so much for welcoming me into the World of Nashville writing.  All babies get slapped for their first breath! I  want to forward to you a little taste of how unbelievably charged up and flowing I am from your incredible workshop (where I thought I was a fish a long way from water…but woke up this morning in a big fun pond!)  I’ll try to keep my distance til I feel worthy enough to send something in for your cowrite consideration
Again…  I thank you deeply for your generosity and kindness.  I haven’t been able to stop typing, singing or talking all day!!!
All The Best!

I just wanted to say thanks for all the time and help in connection with the workshop this past weekend in Bethlehem. It was very helpful and and
was run in a smooth and efficient manner (that's saying alot for songwriters!!).you are providing great info   -and a wonderful service and opportunity forwriters.

I thought the workshop might help me open a few doors to additional co-writes (which it did) and it was helpful to meet Scott and Rusty (and of course to hear the critiques).  I've had a bunch of "holds" in the past 18 months and a few independent cuts and a few TV/movie cuts.

thanks again for everything!

Hey Barbara,
It was great to meet you this weekend and thanks for all the attention.  The workshop's with Rusty and Scott really helped to remove the wool from my eyes in regards to what 'Nashville' is looking for in a song.   Now if I want to write something for the Nashville market I know much more clearly what I have to do.  That's priceless.   Even better is getting the chance to hang out with other folks who are devoted to the craft of songwriting and getting their songs published.  Thanks for putting the whole thing together.
 Take Care,
Tim Riordan

Hello Barbara,
A giant thanks again for a fine weekend!  I enjoyed the whole thing, and got inspired to write a new song since then.

Dear Barbara,
Just wanted to say "thanks" for the wonderful workshop this past weekend. Really enjoyed meeting you, Scott and Rusty and getting a feel for what makes a song successful in the Nashville market. Also enjoyed meeting and hanging out with all the writers. Hope you all had a good time visiting our corner of the woods.

Dear Barbara:
It's been almost a week since the workshop and I'm still feeling the good feelings and positive effect from it.  Spending a weekend with kindred spirits was really good for me and got me inspired.  I stayed up until 5:00am Sunday night writing.  Thanks so much for doing what you do.  I knew the workshop would be good, but it surpassed what I imagined.

Thanks for keeping a copy of "They Make it Look Easy" to pass along to Kathy Mattea.  Maybe it will be the right person (you) passing the right song along at the right time to the right person!
Hope you had a safe trip back.
Take care,
Kathy Hart

Hi Barbara,
I'd like to thank-you and LV-NSAI for making this workshop happen.  It was reality check for sure, but the honest and direct feedback from Scott, Rusty and yourself is invaluable to anyone who is serious about becoming a better songwriter.

Also want to let you know how thrilled I was at your initial response to my Tree song on Friday night.  It kind of made my weekend.  It's always inspiring to hear things like that, and just re-ignites the passion to write more and better songs.

In retrospect, and now obviously, we all should have should have played our tempo stuff, but it's just a part of the whole learning experience.
